A seven-year old Papuan boy is running in front of his brothers who are playing on an old wooden boat on the beach. He shows a letter ‘V’ with his fingers which represent his first name, Valentino. Valentino lives in Arborek – a small village in Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia. Arborek is one of tourist destination villages in Raja Ampat which offer hospitality of its local dwellers to people who are visiting this village. The waters around Arborek is also known as ‘home’ for one of charismatic marine creatures, the manta ray which has become the icon of the village which is located in the world’s centre of marine biodiversity.
